So my kids have always enjoyed "theme-ing" it up on Halloween, but this year they kept getting snagged.  The toss up was between Toy Story and Star Wars.  Though the girls were willing to be Star Wars characters I wasn't quite sure that was their true hearts desire - they just love their brother that much.  So we split.  Caleb and Jadyn did Star Wars and the big girls did Toy Story.  They had a lot of fun dressing up and, in true Popa fashion, are lazy Trick or Treaters, meaning they're quite content to stop after about 8 houses :)

Fall Fun

I feel like we didn't take as much advantage of fall as I would have liked to, but we did make it out a couple of times to do some Fall-ish activities.  Here's a sampling:

Avery kept running through this train by herself, coming out running full speed and yelling "whoo hoo!"  How easily she entertains herself

Hm, a little paint on my smock...

Let me just clean off my hand ...

Ew, I mean my tongue!

Maybe Mommy should stay with the kids at the dinner table instead of getting herself ready to go before the sitter comes.

Jadyn's 1!

Happy Birthday, to quite possibly the sweetest little baby I have ever had the pleasure of meeting.  Jadyn continues to be a true joy - everything about her is sweet and lovely.  She continues to have the best disposition: never a whine, always smiling, entertains herself, loves her siblings and books, can roll with whatever the day brings her, and is just genuinely happy.  At 12 months she's climbing stairs, "reading" books, still taking way too many bottles ;) , and talking up a storm!  So far we have "mama", "dada", "baba", "ba" (book), "woof woof" (dog), "bubba", "uh uh" (uh oh), and "mo" (more).  She loves music and dancing and reminds us of Caleb with the way she "studies" everything she comes across. We love you Jadyn and couldn't be more happy to have you in our family!

I spent the night before her birthday "spoiling" her a bit (at least in the fourth child sense) giving her every bit of attention she deserved to have for the entire first year of her life, but sadly too often did without :)

Including a bath by herself where I actually washed her instead of letting the bubbles do the job ;)

and where I actually played WITH her while she was in the tub.

Good morning Sunshine!! Happy Birthday!

Getting Birthday Wishes from Daddy at work

Dancing to her new Wiggles DVD from her brother and sisters
The big kids said they were pretty sure Jadyn wanted to go to Chuck E Cheese for her birthday.  With their friends :)

And Daddy thought that Jadyn wanted to go to Art Prize.

Yes, she looks like she's loving this idea.
Mommy thought Jadyn might like to go to Red Robin for dinner.

This one's perfect!  But something (one) is missing...

Cake time!

I think it's safe to say she's a fan!
